Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the Student Credit Card, applicants must meet the following criteria:
  • Nationality: Applicants should be an Indian National who is living in West Bengal for last 10 ten years.
  • Age Limit: The applicant should be under 40 years of age.
  • Enrolled for Higher Education: Applicants must have enrolled for higher education maintained above and IAS, medicine, engineering, SSC, IPS, etc.

To apply for the Student Credit Card, you will need to provide the following documents:
  • A recent Passport-sized photograph
  • Aadhaar card
  • Class 10th registration number
  • Income certificate
  • PAN card of the co-applicant and applicant
  • Bank details of the co-applicant and applicant

Loan Features

After completation of all documents you will get a loan a maximum loan of Rs. 10 lakhs @ 4% per annum simple interest from the State Cooperative Bank and its affiliated Central Cooperative Banks and District Central Cooperative Banks and Public/ Private Sector Banks. Borrowers can enjoy a 1% interest rate reduction if they make full interest payments during their study period. The student credit card program in West Bengal allows applicants up to the age of 40 to apply for a loan. The repayment period for loans obtained through this credit card, including the moratorium or repayment holiday, is set at 15 years.
